Cougar Reservoir is an earthen dam in eastern Lane County just south of the McKenzie River.
Our son's families and their friends have an annual campout at a group campsite south of the reservoir at what they call Hardrock.
They have been going every year since 2008. We were invited to join them in 2015 and 2016.
It was a good large site next to the river with well-maintained out houses.
